A new chapter for creativity in Knowsley

We’re delighted to officially welcome you to Alara Community Arts CIC.

After months of planning, meetings and preparation, our organisation has now launched with one clear mission:

To ensure that talent is never limited by opportunity.

We believe everyone deserves access to high-quality creative opportunities regardless of their background, age or experience.

Who are we?

Alara Community Arts CIC was founded by Ant and Danielle Canavan following almost two decades of professional experience across entertainment, education, events and creative industries.

Between us we’ve:

• Delivered more than 5,000 professional performances
• Trained over 1,000 entertainers
• Produced more than 100 professional productions
• Worked across seven countries
• Built successful creative businesses from the ground up

Now we’re bringing that experience back into the local community.

Our mission

We’ll be delivering projects that improve confidence, creativity and employability while helping people discover pathways into the creative industries.

This includes:

• Theatre and performance
• Creative skills training
• Digital content creation
• Community events
• Youth development
• Adult learning
• Partnerships with schools, businesses and local organisations

Looking ahead

This is only the beginning.

Over the coming months we’ll be sharing regular updates as we develop our permanent creative hub, launch new programmes and begin working with local residents, volunteers and partner organisations.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who’s supported us so far and we’re excited to share the journey with you.
