Our impact, evidence and experience
Good community work should be easy to understand and possible to evidence. This page brings together what Alara Community Arts CIC has established, the experience behind the project and what we will measure as delivery begins.
Evidence update: 20 October 2026. Our first community programmes are in preparation. Planned activity and intended benefits are not reported as completed outcomes.
An established organisation, building its delivery record
Alara Community Arts CIC is a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee, incorporated in England and Wales on 30 January 2026, company number 17001682. View the Companies House record. Our purpose is to widen access to arts, performance and creative learning in Kirkby and wider Knowsley.
Governance, safeguarding, equality, data protection and safety documents have been developed to support delivery. Funders and prospective delivery partners can request relevant documents and discuss due diligence. Policies are supporting documents; they do not establish that a particular venue or activity is ready to operate.
Confirmed programme support: Kirkby Creative Connections
Kirkby Creative Connections is a free 16-week creative programme for adults in Kirkby, funded by Livv Housing Group. The programme is being prepared around drama, writing, storytelling and accessible digital media. Dates and booking information will be shared once confirmed.
This is evidence of confirmed support and programme development. Attendance, participant feedback and outcomes will be reported after activity takes place. Funding for this programme must not be taken as funding for every part of the proposed hub.
Professional experience behind the CIC
Anthony (Ant) Canavan and Danielle (Danii) Canavan bring professional entertainment experience through Alara Entertainment Ltd, a separate company, number 15510236. Its published history traces Alara’s beginnings to around 2022; the limited company was incorporated in 2024.
Public examples include immersive murder mysteries, audience interaction and hotel entertainment. Explore performance examples and the company’s Warner Hotels murder mystery work. These demonstrate relevant experience in storytelling, rehearsal and live delivery. They are commercial work by the team, not completed CIC productions, CIC participant outcomes or endorsements of the CIC by those venues.
Commercial guest reviews and performance photographs must retain that context. We do not transfer ratings, audiences or client relationships from the company to the CIC.
How activity can lead to community benefit
Resources: experienced practitioners, suitable space, funding, community knowledge and accessible information. Activity: creative workshops, collaborative making, supported sharing and optional development opportunities. Intended change: stronger creative skills and confidence, local connections and clearer next steps. These are aims to test through delivery and feedback.
What we will measure
We plan to distinguish unique participants from total attendances; record activities actually delivered; ask about experience, confidence, skills and barriers; and use feedback to improve future sessions. Participant stories, photographs and work will be shared only with appropriate permission.
For Pathway to Work, we will distinguish work samples, next steps, introductions, auditions and actual paid engagements. An introduction will not be counted as a job. We will report verified results with dates and context as evidence becomes available.
The proposed venue is still in development
Nine Market Square is a prospective Kirkby home. Lease, permissions, funding, safety, access and fit-out requirements remain dependencies. See the hub concept and current status. Concept images illustrate ambition and do not show an open venue.
For funders, businesses and community partners
We welcome evidence requests, practical questions and constructive challenge. Tell us the programme and information you need so we can provide the appropriate documents, scope and current status.
